This place is beginning to feel like my 2nd home. Nice to have a break from the heat of summer in Townsville and enjoy some time away from the phones. My kids are skiing like champions now and its great to spend some time together before we all get stuck back into work, school, uni etc.

Duo Covers

I really enjoyed shooting the covers for Duo Magazine last year. Top image is of Ashley Pillierron a Sports and Exercise Scientist and bottom is Renee Nicol who appeared on the cover of the Christmas edition. Can’t wait to see which girls get selected for the 2010 covers.

More a “wetting” than a wedding on the weekend. Still its more the norm at this time of year in Townsville. Even though no bride would wish for rain on her wedding day I must say with regards to photography its a nice change to have soft light and dramatic clouds to work with. We got a little wet at one stage but found a few breaks in the downpour to get some location shots.

Lucky last wedding for the year. We had a beautiful day on the Magnetic Island with the ceremony and reception held at Lotus House (one of my favorite locations).

Well with Christmas just around the corner its time to have some weekends back again. This was shot at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Townsville – a place where I seem to hang out most Saturdays .

I love the older style lace dress that Melinda is wearing.

Well as it gets hotter and hotter here in Townsville the snow is starting to fall in Canada. Resorts will be opening early this year and we will be heading there in mid January for a well earned rest for all the family. These are some shots from our trip in early 2008 – enjoy!!!

I just can’t get enough of making slideshows and movies at the moment. I seemed to have cracked the sweet spot of reasonable file sizes for download and reasonable quality. Its taken a hell of a lot of experimenting but it now all seems to work. Watch this space for lots more short clips.
